Save the date! Dr. Nancy Mather will be coming to AIM on Monday, June 14th and Tuesday, June 15th, 2010 to present in our expert series. This two-day workshop will focus on the use and interpretation of the Woodcock Johnson III (WJ III) Tests of Cognitive Ability (WJ III COG) and Tests of Achievement (WJ III ACH) for the identification of individuals with specific learning disabilities (SLD). All scores, profiles, and variation and discrepancy procedures will be explained.  The usefulness and importance of determining intra-individual processing differences for the identification of SLD will be discussed from both a historical, as well as a present day perspective. Several case studies will be used to illustrate the various interpretive features and to demonstrate how WJ III results can lead to the development of specific accommodations and interventions. Participants should be familiar with administration and scoring of the WJ III.
