Wilson Fundations® Level K

Time: 8:30am to 3:00pm (5 CEU hours)
Wilson Fundations® is an integrated multisensory, systematic, sequential phonics, spelling, and handwriting program for the general education classroom in grades K through 3.  Fundations® teaches the foundational skills of the Common Core State Standards and ensures that the critical skills for reading and spelling are taught daily. The newly revised 2nd edition features a teacher-friendly manual with day-by-day plans. (All materials can be purchased directly from http://www.wilsonlanguage.com/store.) Four levels of instruction are available, beginning with Kindergarten through grade 3 (Levels K, 1, 2, 3). Level K training is geared towards Kindergarten classrooms.
Cost is $225 per person.

Advanced Strategies in Multisensory Structured Language Instruction
(WRS Group Mastery) Workshop

Thursday, August 22 and Friday, August 23, 2013
Time: 8:30am to 3:00pm (10 CEU hours)
This course provides strategies to improve all aspects of WRS group instruction through hands-on practice and discussion, and prepares participants for the WRS Group Mastery Practicum.
Prerequisites: Level I Certification and a Bachelor's Degree in education or a related field.
Cost is $375 per person.

Wilson Reading System® Introductory Workshop (3-Days)

Time: 8:30am to 3:00pm first day, 9:00am to 3:00pm second and third day (15 CEU hours)
1 Graduate credit offered by Fitchburg State University (FSU), located in Fitchburg, Massachusetts (requires registration with FSU)
This workshop provides an introduction to the Wilson Reading System® and is a prerequisite for all other Wilson training. Wilson Just Words® Introductory Workshop

Time: 8:30am to 3:00pm first day, 9:00am to 3:00pm second day (10 CEU hours)
Wilson Just Words® provides a curriculum for the study of word structure through the six syllable types in English and the most common Latin roots. It is a highly explicit, multisensory decoding and spelling program for students in grades 4 -12 and adults who do not require intensive intervention but do require explicit decoding and spelling instruction due to word-level deficits. Just Words is based on the research validated Wilson Reading System® and moves at an accelerated pace by focusing primarily on the concentrated study of word structure for reading and spelling. Just Words curriculum is designed for individuals with decoding and/or spelling scores in the 15th to 50th percentile range.
Cost is $375 per person.

Wilson Level I Certification               
Start-up date - Tuesday, September 3, 2013
The WRS Level I Certification course prepares teachers to effectively implement WRS Steps 1-6 (there are 12 Steps in all) with students reading and spelling below grade level and those diagnosed with a language-based learning disability. Pre-requisite for Level I Certification Training:  Participants are required to attend one Introductory/Applied Methods Workshop that provides an overview of the Wilson Reading System® curriculum.
Cost is $1,950 per person ($2,008.50 if paid by credit card)
